Windleshaw Chantry

Windleshaw Chantry is a Grade II listed building and the oldest in the borough, dating from around 1415 when the Bishop of Coventry granted permission to give mass at the site.

There are many graves set around the building, including the resting place of Jean Baptiste Graux De La Bruyere, man that brought glass making to St Helens over 250 years ago.

A local voluntary group host tours and events and aim to preserve the graveyard around around the Chantry.
