Sankey Canal Restoration Society

The aim of the Sankey Canal Restoration Society is to preserve, conserve and restore the Sankey Canal, the very first modern industrial canal in England, opened in 1757.

They also campaign to build a new link to the national waterway network and to promote and stimulate public interest in and usage of the canal.
