Newspaper collections

Local newspapers can be a fascinating source of information and are incredibly useful for local and family history.

Microfilm copies of local newspapers are held at Eccleston and Newton-le-Willows libraries.

St Helens Borough Archives holds bound newspapers, some individual issues, newspaper cuttings, newspaper photography as well as digital copies of St Helens Star from 2009 onwards. These can be accessed at the World of Glass.
