Bottle opener bought by my dad in Fingerpost to open bottles from the area, especially on special occasions like Christmas.
The opener has a patent number at the top and this is related to 1924
and is associated with The Crown Cork type of cap used to close glass bottles. The method of airtight closure of a bottle by a metal cap was patented by William Painter in 1882 and this method has been with us ever since.
