Fog Cottage. Lea Green. St Helens.
Bold and Lea Green, 2022
Credit: Philip Wilkinson
The fog cottage at Lea Green was built in the 1800's by the LNWR railway company. This cottage would originally have been built for railway employees near to Lea Green Station to operate the nearby signals or place fog detonator alarms on the tracks to act as warnings to trains when the visibility was bad.
